Glenside Lions have donated $500 to Toc H Youth Camps in March. In 1925, Toc H opened its first Australian branches and the first Youth Camp was held at Mannum in 1928. Facilitated entirely by volunteers, and funded by donations from their generous supporters, Toc H has run camps for youth in need at their Victor Harbor campsite for over 80 years. The program is designed to help young people from a wide range of situations develop self-regulation skills, form positive relationships with their peers, make healthy choices, build self-esteem, and develop positive community attitudes. Today, their focus is building communities through service. In addition to Youth Camps, their active team of volunteers regularly work with like-minded organisations providing people power, fundraising support and advocacy to important causes.
