Glenside Lions have donated $5000 in February to the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network to purchase a Transperineal Biopsy Machine. The Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (LHN) has entered a partnership with the Male Bag Foundation to purchase an advanced biopsy machine for prostate cancer patients, to be installed at the Port Augusta Hospital. The Male Bag Foundation is an incorporated not-for-profit charity developed to raise funds for much needed specialist equipment and services to diagnose the incidence of prostate cancer in regional Australia. Glenside Lions’ $5000 will contribute to the $90,000 needed for the Transperineal Biopsy Machine. #WeServe
