Glenside Lions have committed $12,000 this year for the Foodbank Apples Program with $6000 paid in June and the balance to be paid later in the year. Foodbank will distribute thousands and thousands of apples to SA families in need. Apples are a great source of nutrition supplying fibre and vitamins. Apples also work for positive dental health. Glenside Lions continue to work towards relieving hunger in our community. Here are some photos of volunteers receiving and sorting the apples from Lenswood at Foodbank SA.
