Eye Bank SA

Glenside Lions donated $45,000 in October 2020 to the Eye Bank of South Australia located at the Flinders Medical Centre for biological safety cabinets and a new DMEK microscope. This is our ongoing commitment to the Eye Bank as we have been supporting them in the past few years in terms of medical equipment for corneal grafting procedures. Tamme Golding-Holbrook, the Eye Bank manager gave us an introduction on the work the Eye Bank is currently doing and Eye Bank Medical Director Dr Richard Mills showed some videos of DMEK endothelial keratoplasty procedures. Also present were coordinators Luke and Nicole from the Eye Bank and Ross Verchoor from the Flinders Foundation.
