Australian Lions Eye Health Program

Glenside Lions donated $1000 to the Australian Lions Eye Health Program in June. Sight is a Glenside Lions major focus.
Lions Eye Health Program is a community based program that aims to prevent vision loss and blindness by promoting early detection and timely treatment of eye diseases. The program encourages people to visit an eye care professional. The program was launched in Australia in 2000 and since that time more than 60% of all Lions Clubs in Australia have undertaken some type of LEHP promotion. The program is a National Multiple District Category B Project, funded by voluntary donations received from Lions and Lioness clubs across Australia.
