Glenside Lions have donated $1000 to the Lions Prostate Cancer Research and Treatment & Support Project. Our Club supports this Project regularly because this research is vital for the health of many Australian men. This Project supports the development of medical services for research and treatment of Prostate Cancer, funded by the generous donations of Australian Lions Clubs.The main beneficiary of the project is the Mater Prostate Cancer Research laboratory (MMRI) that is working to develop immunotherapy treatment of patients with prostate cancer.Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and is the second biggest cause of cancer deaths in Australia claiming more than 3000 lives a year. Nine Australian men die each day from this cancer. 61,000 are fighting the cancer and 20,000 will be diagnosed each year. #WeServe
